Tuesday Swim
Met Dane at the AC this moring for a swim workout. It certainly helps me get out the door knowing someone is waiting on me. Anyway, had a good workout. Swam 1,300 yards in the small pool. I wore my regular watch and hit the lap button at each 100 yards. That helped me keep count of the laps a little better than I normally do. I don't have the watch in front of me but I think my total swim time (including the small rest breaks after each 100 yards) was around 35 mins. I took a 2-3 minute rest after each 500 yards.
My stroke is feeling much better and stronger. The breathing is getter much better as well. My arms, chest and back were rather sore after 1,000 yards and my form started to really deteriorate for the last 300. But all-in-all this was a good workout.
I'm planning on riding at Jimmy DeLoach tonight after work. I think the big group will be there again this time so I'm looking forward to a hard fast ride. We'll see.
