Week 14
Sorry for not posting sooner. Last week was kind of busy. Anyway, I got in all the miles for week 14 of my training program, albeit not exactly as scheduled. I overslept Tuesday so I didn't get to run the 5 miler that day. I ran it on Wednesday instead. Then it rained Thursday morning, so I had to wait until Friday morning to run the 9 miler. That meant I had to run the second 5 miler Saturday morning before playing in the company Christmas golf tournament. Of course as if that wasn't enough for one day, as soon as I was done with the tournament, we sped off for a 2 1/2 hour ride to Milan to have Christmas with Wendy's family. We had great time, and as you might imagine I slept well Saturday night. Then Sunday morning I got up and ran 14 miles around the big city of Milan before going to church.
Well this week is the big week. This is the peak of the training schedule. When it's all said and done I will have run 40 miles by week's end. It starts with 5 miles tomorrow morning, followed by 10 miles on Wednesday morning. Then Thursday it's back to 5 miles again. Finally, on Saturday it's the big 20 miler. The 20 miler isn't what's worrying me though. With my work schedule this week, it's the midweek mileage that's gonna be the most difficult I'm afraid. I'm hoping for good weather and that I can get up extra-extra early Wednesday (around 4 am).

That was a long time not to post and a LONG run! Whew!
It was a very busy week and with all the runnning I'm doin' lately I'm finding it harder to stay up late just to update the blog. I'll try to do better this week, but we'll just have to see.
