All Better Now
I've been real busy for the past week, so this is the first time I've had a chance to post. I ran another 3 miles last Thursday and my hamstring was fine. So I went ahead and ran the scheduled 15 mile run Friday afternoon.
Dane and I ran a 5 mile loop in Georgetown 3 times. The weather was beautiful and the run went well. The traffic in Georgetown was a little busy. My hamstring didn't hurt at all, but my left knee cap did. I had a gel before we ran and another at mile 5 and 10 along with a little water we stashed at the church office. We averaged a 10:24 pace overall. The last mile was tough but I made it.
I helped with the church baseball camp Saturday and Sunday so I didn't have time to ride this weekend. Monday I walked on the treadmill just to get some exercise in. I didn't do anything on Tuesday, anything but work that is. I had a project that had to be done by Wednesday, so I pulled an all-nighter. I worked 'till 4:00 Wednesday morning, came home for about an hour and a half of sleep then went back to work. I finally finished the project Wednesday afternoon.
So after Sarah went to bed last night I set out and ran 8 miles all over the neighborhood. I didn't run very fast and could tell I'd lost a little after missing the running last week and this weekend.
Anyway, the short of it is that my hamstring appears to be just fine now. I'm go head out tonight for 4 miles after Sarah goes down. This Saturday there is a 5k out on Isle of Hope. It's a 16 mile day so Dane and I are gonna get out there at 6:00 and try to run most of it before the race.
Well, thats enough for now.
See ya!
3 Mile Thursday
