Tuesday 3 Mile Run

Dang it was cold this morning! Just when I was starting to get used to the "cooler" weather, all of a sudden it just gets plain cold. The thermometer at the house read 46 degrees as I left the house for my 3 mile run this morning.

I'm trying to learn to dress for the cold. This morning I had on my fleece beenie hat, two thin long sleeve polypro shirts, my smartwool gloves, and my tri-suit shorts under a pair of light running shorts. I was cold for the first 1.5 to 2 miles, but warmed up pretty good by the last mile. At that point I pushed my sleeves up and pulled my gloves down a bit to cool off some.

I bought a new long sleeve 1/4 zip running shirt at Target tonight for only $17. I'll try it out tomorrow morning. The forecast is calling for temps around 40 degrees. Burrrr!

Well, my legs, or more specifically my quads, were still pretty sore this morning so it wasn't one of my fastest 3 mile runs. I averaged a 10:45 pace and ran positive splits.

I better go get some rest. Gotta run 6 in the morning.

See ya!

46 degrees, dang, just put on a singlet and some shorts and go!!! I am pretty sure nothing will freeze off but I cannot guarantee the acturacy of the above statement.
