Sunday 14.5 Mile Ride
I got my cross training in this weekend with a quick, but late, 14.5 mile ride on Hunter. I got out a little late, around 6:30, so it was getting dark about half way into it. I ended up eating a lot of bugs, especially around the creek crossings. Yuck!!
Well, Sunday finished up week 6 of training. 12 more weeks to go! I'm starting to feel pretty confident about this whole thing. Tomorrow is the first run of week 7. It's 3 miles tomorrow and Thursday. Wednesday moves up to 6 miles and Saturday is 12. Wednesday mornings just keep on getting earlier!
There's a 10k race this Saturday on Skidaway Island. I haven't signed up yet, but I'm planning on running it. It will be my first 10k (6.2 mile) race. Of course, Saturday is long run day, and this week's long run is 12 miles. So Im trying to decide just how to get the 12 miles in along with the race. I may just run 3 miles before and after the race.
Well, I better get to bed.
